Our new website launches alongside Belonging Together, our membership campaign for 2026/27.
Over the coming weeks you will hear more about choosing your level of participation, our neighbourhood initiatives, and how to get involved. It will not be perfect, we are improving as we go, and that is the spirit of the thing. Everyone belongs; every contribution matters.
On one autumn Sunday, more than 150 neighbours came together in Fawkner Park and were welcomed by 15 volunteers, fed, entertained and introduced to one another.
When we asked how it felt, every single respondent said they felt they belonged, and the community vibe scored 4.7 out of 5. Numbers tell part of the story; the rest was in the conversations that started between strangers and continued as friendships.
This is the fabric of a connected village and why we do what we do.
In June we met with the City of Port Phillip's Deputy Mayor and senior officers to discuss how a community library at Albert Reserve could be delivered, and we have shared our proposal with our local State members.
Our neighbourhood's case is strong: remarkable growth, a genuine gap, and common ground the whole community can reach. We will keep members updated at every step.
Connected-3004 is our newsletter. July/August 2026 is the first edition. It has neighbourhood news, upcoming gatherings, project updates and stories from the towers around the park. Every issue is archived here as it is sent, so you can see exactly what you will receive before you subscribe.
