Community 3004, Inc. is the resident-led not-for-profit association for the Fawkner Park precinct. We do two kinds of work under one roof.
Community 3004 is our voice, representing residents to councils and government and working towards the community places our neighbourhood needs.
Fawkner Park Friends is our table, where monthly gatherings bring neighbours together over brunch, board games, cocktails and coffee.
Together we are one organisation, with one membership, and one warm rule: you are always welcome.
Community 3004 builds a more connected, welcoming and resilient Fawkner Park neighbourhood by growing relationships between people, place and community.
Our Vision
We envision a resilient neighbourhood that grows when people know one another, care for shared places and work together.
Our role is simple.
We create opportunities for neighbours to meet, build relationships and contribute to the life of the neighbourhood.
Our promise is:
Everyone Belongs.
Community 3004 began with something many of us felt before we could name it: we lived in one of the fastest-growing neighbourhoods in Melbourne, yet there was nowhere to actually meet each other. We knew connecting in an urban setting was hard — we were living it. And because our neighbourhood sits on the edge of every local, state and federal boundary, no one seemed to claim us as theirs.
COVID-19 made the gap impossible to ignore. Those of us living alone or isolated from loved ones, needed a buddy. Many neighbours simply left.
Then in 2026, after Neighbour Day, a handful of us decided a neighbourhood is more than its skyline. We incorporated, set the table through Fawkner Park Friends, and started making the case for the community places our growth deserves.
